Art and Writing

I am finally getting organized so that I can get down to the real business of finishing, editing, and having my Cookbook/art book published.

I can't work in chaos , I dont know about you but as an artist and writer I tend to have about 10 things going at all times, running from one project to the other and never completing much- other than art. Thank God I can finish at least a painting.

Anyway, on to the cookbook this afternoon.

Cloudy Day in Texas

I am in my studio / office trying to get organized so I can start putting my cookbook/artwork together. Not doing so well. As an artist I get so side tracked-do you?
Anyway, going to dive in again -I will update you on the progress of the ever so procrastinating creative personality. UGH!

Wine and Roses

This is one of my most favorite paintings I have done in the past. I think I will paint another one to see how far I have come . This is 48/60.
I'm working today on getting organized in my office.
I have page upon page of recipes I have written in the past several years. Now the fun starts- ugh. Organize and see what I have -yeah.

Santa Fe

Wish I was there again! Love it!

Back to art and writing once again

I have taken time off to help family again with work etc. but I am really missing my dreams of continuing my art work- painting daily and finishing my art/cookbook. So, I quit yesterday and I am back at it. Can't wait.
Do all of us Moms always continue to put ourselves on the back burner to husbands and family? Even when everyone is grown? Why? When is it our time? When we are dead? Think about it.
Well I am not waiting any longer- I turned 52 a few days ago and now is the time for sure. I am sooooo not getting any younger.
I talked with my life long best friend today and she and I are collaborating on our cookbook/art book.
She is a fabulous artist and cook. We both live in different parts of the country but have been like missing twin sisters with all our passions. We love to cook and create new recipes daily and create paintings as well. Her name is Sherrie.
Look for more soon.
